Jennifer's Story:

"Part of the reason I joined JWS way back in the Winter of 2013 was because I had just had my first child, pictured, Juliana Grace.

I was lost. I was 270lbs, coming off of a painful 2 year struggle with infertility and subsequent marital problems. I joined JWS because I wanted to be strong and confident and healthy. I wanted my daughter and any other children I had to look up at me and say wow, my mom is tough stuff!

Since I joined, I can't even count the miles I've run, the friends I've made, and the confidence I've gained. I think I may actually feel like a little bit of a bad ass.

Here's a picture of this morning. Not-so-baby Juliana Grace's first official race with Mommy. It was the proudest 28-minute mile I've ever run."

Since it’s inception in 2012, the Jersey Women Strong team has grown to over 135 members of all ages and ability levels.

Private Coaching
New to the sport of triathlon and looking for guidance to get you to the finish line? Seasoned triathlete or runner looking improve performance? Head Coach Dana Anello White is a USAT-Certified Triathlon Coach with over 20 years experience in the sport. She will help you develop specific goals and execute a training plan that fits your lifestyle.
Treadmill Analysis
Learn to run fast, efficient and injury-free. Join Head Coach Dana Anello White for a unique running assessment that includes multi-angle video analysis. You will view—frame by frame and with voice over—areas in which you can improve your running style, improve speed and decrease potential for injury.
Boot Camps
Strength training is a key component to your overall health and fitness—and is often the missing piece in helping you achieve your fitness goals. Challenge yourself both mentally and physically in the company of friends with our boot camp classes. We combine strength, agility, cardio and functional exercises into a workout that will leave you stronger, healthier and more confident. All abilities welcome!

Clinics
Clinics our provided throughout the year by our coaching staff as well as experts outside the team who specialize in areas such as nutrition, physical therapy, mental training, etc. Details will be posted here as our schedule fills.

Philanthropy and Community Outreach

At the heart of Jersey Women Strong is our commitment to “giving back” to the community, changing lives one step at time. Being an all women’s team, we are particularly focused on supporting local charitable organizations that aid and empower women.  Over the past several years, we have raised thousands of dollars for partners such as Center for Hope and Safety (formerly Shelter Our Sisters), YWCA Bergen County’s healingSpace, and Oasis: A Haven for Women and Children. Additionally, the team has organized and hosted various fundraisers to support local families in need. This type of collaboration builds a bond between team members and a purpose that goes well beyond health and fitness.
